2014 Lafayette Volleyball Schedule

EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette Volleyball team announced its 2014 schedule on Friday, which includes 14 matches inside Kirby Sports Center and a trip to Seattle in the beginning of September.

The Leopards open the season on August 29-30 at the Hofstra Invitational. In the tournament, Lafayette will take on the host Hofstra, Quinnipiac, St. Francis Brooklyn, and Santa Clara.

Following the Hofstra Invitational, the Maroon and White will travel to the Seattle University Tournament on September 5 and 6.

The Leopards return to the east coast for their first home match of the season on September 10 against St. Francis Brooklyn.

Lafayette will host the annual Crosstown Tournament on September 12-13 with Morgan State, Saint Peter’s, Delaware State and Marist all taking part in the two-day event.

The Maroon and White will next open Patriot League play with a pair of home matches against Lehigh and Navy on September 17 and 19. Lafayette hits the road for its next two league matches at American September 27 and at Loyola September 28.

NJIT visits Kirby Sports Center for the final non-league action of the season on October 1. The Leopards resume Patriot League play at Bucknell on October 4.

Back-to-back home contests against Holy Cross and Army on October 10 and 11 are followed by a pair of road matches at Lehigh on October 17 and Colgate on October 19. Colgate visits Lafayette October 24 to complete the season series.

After a trip to Navy on October 26, the Leopards play three straight home matches against American on Halloween, Loyola on November 1 and their final home contest against Bucknell on November 7. Lafayette closes the season with trips to Army and Holy Cross on November 14 and 15.

The Patriot League Tournament is tentatively scheduled for November 22-23 at the site of the highest seed.
