Women's Lacrosse Earns Academic Recognition

EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette women’s lacrosse team was one of 84 schools to be recognized as a 2014 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division I Academic Honor Squad. Additionally, Katie Elander and Taylor McGinnis were named to the IWLCA Honor Roll.

Each of the 84 schools to earn Division I Academic Honor Status had a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Lafayette was one of seven Patriot League schools named to the list.

Elander appeared in 13 games in 2014, making three starts. She tallied five goals and two assists, scoring a pair of goals against Iona. McGinnis saw action in four games, picking up a ground ball against Iona.

To be eligible for the IWLCA Honor Roll, student-athletes were nominated by their schools, have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative academic GPA or 3.50 or greater.
