VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Lafayette men’s tennis team competed at the Villanova Invitational over the weekend and combined to finish the event with a winning record. Lafayette’s individuals combined to post a 12-8 record across singles and doubles play.
Lafayette’s Brian Pinkard and Chris Matturri each were part of five victories to lead the competitors and the duo was 2-2 in doubles matches. Pinkard completed his effort by winning three of his four singles matches while Matturri also went 3-1 individually.
Lafayette returns to the court this weekend at the St. Joseph’s Invitational in Philadelphia.
