Men's Tennis Ousted by Bucknell

EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's tennis team played host to conference rival Bucknell on Sunday at Sullivan Courts. The Leopards fell to the Bison 5-2.
Brian Pinkard picked up the lone singles win for the Maroon and White by downing Aidan Lynch 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in the number two match. Brandon Goldstein fell at No. 1 singles to Nick Bybel 6-0, 6-4. Brian Stefanowicz was taken by down by Bryan Adams 6-4, 6-0 at third singles, while Octavio Canibe claimed victory at No. 4 from Jake Lazer 6-1, 6-4. Chris Matturri fell to Kyle Rosen 6-2, 6-4 in the fifth singles bout and John DeFrancesch used a pair of 6-3 triumphs to take the sixth singles match from Gavin Studner.
The Leopards took two of three doubles matches to secure the doubles point and were led by Pinkard and Lazer, who dropped Bryan Adams and Chris Tortora 8-7 (4). Matturri and Studner combined to grab a 8-5 win over Canibe and Scott Bernstein.
The Maroon and White are next in action today, when they host Colgate at 1 p.m. The regular season concludes April 21 at home against Lehigh.
