EASTON, Pa. – Seven home contests and two NCAA Tournament teams highlight the 2014 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Leopards will travel to Loyola Maryland and host rival Lehigh, who both took part in the 16 team NCAA Tournament last spring.

Loyola fell to eventual champion Duke in the opening round, 12-11, a year after winning their own title in 2012. Lehigh was also knocked out in the first round by North Carolina, 16-7.

“We are excited to get back in action in 2014. As a program, we feel like we have a lot to prove.” Head coach Jim Rogalski said. “The guys are working hard and are looking forward to a challenging Patriot League schedule. We are excited about the addition of BU and Loyola to the conference and look forward to preparing to battle each Saturday.”

The Leopards open their season on February 15, when they host Wagner at 12 p.m. inside Fisher Stadium, followed by a trip to Stony Brook, N.Y. on February 18. The Maroon and White open Patriot League play on February 22, as they entertain Colgate at noon, and they continue League play a week later when Army comes to town.

Lafayette hits the road for its next two contests, as the Leopards travel to Delaware on March 4 and Annapolis, Md. on March 7 to face-off against Navy. A week later, the Maroon and White host Patriot League newcomer Boston University at 3:30 p.m.

Loyola will host the Leopards on March 22, before the Leopards return home for a non-league matchup with Mercer University on the 29th. Lafayette opens the month of April with back-to-back road games against Monmouth on April 1 and Holy Cross on April 5.

Manhattan comes to College Hill for the Leopards’ final non-league game on April 8, followed by the final road trip of the year to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on the Bucknell Bison on April 12. The regular season finale will be on April 18 at 7 p.m. versus rival Lehigh.

The Patriot League Tournament is slated to begin on April 22 with the quarterfinals at the higher seeds. The semifinals are scheduled for April 25 with the championship game set for April 27.
