Scott Biel, a 2012 Lafayette graduate, begins his first season as an assistant coach on the Lafayette football staff. He will be charged with coaching the tight ends while also assisting with the offensive line. Biel is working work with perhaps the top tight end corps in the Patriot League led by Brandon Hall '14 and Morgan Donohue '14 and joined by Brian Keller '16.

Biel spent the 2012 season as the tight ends coach at Franklin & Marshall where he helped F&M head coach John Troxell '94 guide the squad to a 7-4 mark and an ECAC Bowl appearance. Biel coached tight end Devin Hunter to All-Centennial Conference First-Team honors.

Biel was a three-year starter at offensive guard for the Leopards. He secured All-Patriot League First Team laurels his senior season of 2011 when he was also tabbed as the team's MVP. In 2010, he garnered All-Patriot League Second-Team honors and was named the team Offensive Line MVP. Biel was the Leopards' scout team MVP as a freshman and Rookie of the Year honors as a sophomore.

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Sociology.
