Easton, Pa. – The Leopard men and women cross country teams hosted the Patriot League Cross Country Championships this morning at the Metzgar Athletics Complex. Ten teams from each side and over 200 runners competed. Lafayette’s Alexa Deemer won Patriot League Rookie of the Year, as the fastest freshman to complete the course in the women’s race in 22:43.27.

Rose Willey was the second Leopard to cross the line in 27th place with a time of 23:09.16. Following her was Stephanie Benko who completed the course in 23:24.07, good for 36th place. Senior Elizabeth Troisi finished her cross country career with a 51st place finish in the event.
On the men’s side, sophomore Thomas Day led the Leopards, finishing in 51st with a time of 27:06.41. Junior Andrew Hauser finished in 76th place with a time of 28:05.65, while freshman Kevin Smith and Andrew Morra finished 80th and 81st.
