Maroon Club President Hal Kamine '78 Thanks Donors For Record-Breaking Year
Aug. 8, 2011
Maroon Club President Hal Kamine '78 sent the following letter to Maroon Club members, thanking them for their support and outlining the many accomplishments from the 2010-11 fiscal year.
On behalf of the Lafayette Maroon Club, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support this year. Because of your generosity and commitment to Lafayette Athletics, the Maroon Club had a record-breaking fundraising year, all to the benefit of our student-athletes.
From July 1, 2010-June 30, 2011, nearly 1,800 donors made a gift to the Maroon Club raising a total of $1,016,409.28. Also of importance was the nearly $170,000 raised for the Maroon Club General Fund. The Maroon Club General Fund supports the core mission of the Maroon Club, which is to enhance ALL 23 Division I sports at Lafayette College.
I also wanted to share some other initiatives the Maroon Club embarked upon this past year:
Looking to the new year, the Maroon Club will continue to move forward with new and innovative initiatives to provide vital athletic and academic opportunities for Lafayette student-athletes. We hope we can count on your continued support!
Once again, THANK YOU for making this a successful year for the Maroon Club. I hope to see you back on campus in the fall.
All the best,
Hal Kamine '78, P'04, '07, '11
