Dec. 10, 2009
This fall, junior volleyball players Kayly Elmer and Katrina Racibarskas teamed up off the court to fill Leopard fans in on the 2009 season. They took readers from preseason to key conference match-ups while also giving the inside scoop on roadtrips, their teammates and more. Here's their final entry for the 2009 season!
Well, Leopard fans! Tonight is the final hooray for our fall volleyball season. After finishing up our conference league games with a tough loss to Army and a thrilling victory over Holy Cross, it's time to put the volleyball shoes to rest for a few weeks.
Since the season's ended, the team has dived into our class work in preparation for finals in the upcoming week. It's amazing how fast this semester has gone by!! We did our end-of-the-year lift testing last week with Coach Potts and went over our winter workout. We appreciate all of his time and patience he gives us--we know we can be a difficult group sometimes.
As we come to the end of the semester, it is a tradition for the Lafayette volleyball team to have an end-of-the-year dinner at our local restaurant, Juliana's. It's always a fun time to take a break from studying get everyone back together. It is a time for us to thank our coaches as well as our seniors for their time and effort.
It truly has been a fun season and I look forward to see what the spring holds!!!
