EASTON, Pa. - Senior Michaela Donohue capped her Lafayette volleyball career with the second All-Patriot League Team honors of her career. The outside hitter was named to the league's second team as announced on Thursday.

The Government and Law major will leave College Hill at the top of both the Lafayette and Patriot League record books. She entered the 2007 season as the program's career leader in digs and only continued to add to her total this season. Donohue finished the fall with 433 digs and 1,610 for her career. With those 1,610 digs, she became the Patriot League's all-time career digs leader.

Head coach Terri Dadio Campbell knows Donohue is more than deserving of this honor.

"As a four year starter, Michaela has been a strong player for us since her freshman year," she said. "She has been our most consistent passer in serve receive throughout her career and defensively is one of the best. She's a smart and steady all-around player who has left her mark on Lafayette Volleyball and the Patriot League."

This season was one of Donohue's strongest. The senior tri-captain posted career bests in digs (433) and blocks (31). She also appeared in all 116 of Lafayette's matches this fall and in 423 for her career.

Donohue's other all-league selection came during her freshman season in which she was also named to the second team. That year, the Los Gatos, Calif. native led all Patriot League freshmen with four Rookie of the Week honors and finished third in the league with 4.09 digs per game.

The Leopards ended their 2007 season with a 14-18 record, marking the fourth-straight year of double-digit wins for the program.
