Volleyball Set to Host Annual Dig Pink Match

Oct. 12, 2017

EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette volleyball team will be hosting its annual DIG PINK match this Friday when the Leopards welcome Colgate to Kirby Sports Center for a 7 p.m. contest.

The Maroon and White hold the event each year in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support the fight against breast cancer. After being founded in 1982, the foundation’s goal ever since has been to reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer and increase awareness of the disease. Their current bold goal is to reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer by 50% by 2026.

The Susan G. Komen foundation supports new and emerging research methods to find more effective treatments for stage IV diseases as well as discovering better therapies to combat aggressive forms of breast cancer. They are committed to using new technology to improve early detection methods and providing high-quality and equal care to all suffering from the disease.
