Juniors Karissa Ciliento and Molly Belcher express their thoughts on Patriot League opening weekend and look ahead to the conference season.

The historic start to our 2012 season is only building as the season goes on.

Last Friday, September 21st, marked the start of Patriot League play and nothing could have been better than defeating the Bucknell Bison for our first Patriot League win of the season. Everyone was not only excited about the emotion that comes with Patriot League matches, but there was the added drive to beat Bucknell after the great win we had over them towards the end of last season.

Following Bucknell we had a close match against Colgate. Even though it did not go our way, our overall competitiveness gave us confidence to take on other top Patriot League teams and showed us areas to continue to improve upon.

Our team truly feels that this is a special year for us. We are focused on doing the little things so we can make a big impact. We look forward to taking on American and Navy this weekend!
