EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette volleyball team is continuing its participation in the national "Dig Pink" initiative in the 2011 season. The Leopards have raised over $2,200 since 2009 in both online contributions and donations at Lafayette home matches.

Fans can make a tax-deductible contribution online via the Side-Out Foundation's secure website. Donations will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 28, when the Leopards host their official "Dig Pink" match against Lehigh at 7 p.m.

Dig Pink is a national breast cancer awareness initiative started by the Side-Out Foundation and held annually during the month of October. This season, the Side-Out Foundation set a monetary goal of $2.5 million as well as a participation goal of 500 collegiate and 1,000 scholastic programs.

The Side-Out Foundation is a support and advocacy organization dedicated to making a significant and identifiable difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their families by supporting clinical trials, increasing compassionate support services and educating communities.
