Jan. 31, 2013
EASTON, Pa. – Fifteen of the 16 student-athletes on the Lafayette volleyball team earned a 3.0 GPA or higher in the fall semester, making it the highest team GPA of all Lafayette women’s sports in the fall. In addition, eight members of the squad were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Thursday.
"As a program, our priorities are always academics first, volleyball second”, head coach Terri Dadio Campbell said. “These young women are committed to the academic rigor that come with being a student-athlete at Lafayette. It's awesome to see their grades positively reflect their hard work. I am very proud of their academic success last semester."
Senior Kaitlynn Zoller, a Mechanical Engineering major, and sophomore Michelle Woodworth, an Economics major, were both honored for the second consecutive season. Zoller finished with a 3.28 GPA for the fall semester, and Woodworth ended 2012 with a 3.68 GPA.
Freshman Lauren Pisauro, a Washington Crossing, Pa. native, had the highest GPA on the team during the fall semester with a 3.83 GPA.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
