Lafayette Loses Nail-Biter at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Lafayette volleyball team went into Saturday's game looking to rebound from consecutive league losses, but fell in five sets to the Bucknell Bison, 3-2.

The Leopards came out swinging in the first set. They registered 14 kills and took the set easily, winning 25-9. The second set was much closer, with the Bison coming within one point multiple times before Lafayette sealed the 25-23 win.

Bucknell took the next two sets, 25-15 and 25-23, to tie the contest at two sets a piece. Bucknell carried that momentum into the third set to eventually win 15-7.

Kaitlynn Zoller and Karissa Ciliento led Lafayette in kills. They notched 12 and 14, respectively. Sarah Frohnapfel dished out 39 assists for the Leopards in the loss.

Lafayette next takes on NJIT on Tuesday at 6 Kirby Sports Center.
