Emil Lukas, an instructor in the Art Department at Lafayette College, is in his fifth season on Terri Dadio Campbell's coaching staff. Lukas' main responsibilities include on-court coaching and individual and team development.
Lukas has a wealth of volleyball coaching and playing experience. He has spent over a decade as a coach with Court Authority Volleyball Academy (CAVA) in the Lehigh Valley area. In 2005, he was the head coach at Nazareth High School and a camp clinician at Notre Dame High School. Lukas has also served as a coach at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and Swissvale High School in Pittsburgh.
On the court, Lukas was a First Team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honoree at Edinboro. In 1983, he was selected to the Olympic Sports Festival Team, through which he trained at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and participated in the Olympic Sport Festival. He continues to be an active indoor sixes and outdoor doubles player.
Lukas currently lives and works in Stockertown, Pa. and is an internationally exhibiting artist.
