Julie Davis enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Lafayette volleyball program. She will assist in all aspects of the program, including on-court coaching, team and individual player development, game strategy and recruiting.
Davis comes to College Hill after serving as the assistant varsity coach for over a year at William Allen High School in Allentown, Pa. where she helped plan and execute practices.
Davis graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2005 with a degree in Education and Secondary Education in English. At Kentucky, she was a three-year varsity letterwinner on the volleyball team and scholarship varsity athlete.
During her years in Kentucky, she gained coaching experience in several places. She served as the head coach of the Bluegrass Area Volleyball Association and was an assistant varsity coach at Tates Creek High School in Lexington. Davis also spent several years as a camp counselor at the University of Kentucky Volleyball Camp, the Kent State Volleyball Camp and the Middle Tennessee State University Volleyball Camp.
Davis currently resides in Allentown, Pa.
