Lafayette Women Finish Fifth at Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championships

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Senior Rian Landers added a second place finish to her victory in day one's 10K and the Leopard 4x100M and 4x400M relay teams both placed third in the final day of the Patriot League Championships at Bucknell.

The Leopards finished with a team total of 70 points in the two-day conference championships.

Landers, who crossed the tape ahead of the field in yesterday's 10K, placed second in the 5K in 17:36.24.

The 4x100M and 4x400M relay squads both placed third in 48.13 and 3:52.40, respectively.

A pair of Leopard freshmen placed in the top six in the 400IH. Deborah Fink placed fifth in 1:03.58 and Kathleen Evangelista finished sixth in 104.10.

Junior Jennifer White scored a sixth place finish for the Leopards in the 100M dash. White crossed the tape in 14.99. Fellow junior Natalie Bosserman also scored team points for Lafayette on the track. She placed third in the 400M in 57.25.

Larissa Bellamy added a sixth place in the shot put with a toss of 38'2".

Navy won its first Patriot League Outdoor Championship with a total of 139 points.
