Women's Tennis Swept at Loyola

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Lafayette women’s tennis team was swept by Loyola over the weekend in Baltimore, Md.
Jordyn Spellberg lost a close one in the first singles match, losing in straight sets, 7-6 (7), 7-5. Caroline Nixon fell 6-1, 6-3 in the second singles while Rocine Moschella was able to force a third set but was not able to come away with the victory. In the fourth singles, Catherine Senopoulos was bested 6-4, 6-2 and Tori Almeida was defeated 6-3, 6-3. In the final singles, Amanda Kusnierz was ousted 6-4, 6-0.
In doubles, Nixon and Senopoulos fell 8-6 while the pair of Moschella and Almeida were knocked off 8-2. In the third and final doubles match, Kusnierz and Lauren Tracy were topped 8-6.
Lafayette is back in action this Wednesday as it hosts Saint Joseph’s in a non-conference matchup. The match is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
