WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Lafayette women's tennis team earned its first Patriot League win of the spring on Saturday, sweeping Holy Cross, 7-0, at West Point. Earlier in the day, the Leopards fell to the host Black Knights, 7-0.

"Everyone made a great effort today," said head coach Eric Ratchford. "Winning the doubles point was huge, and we played extremely well in all of the singles matches."

Individually, four Leopards were victorious in both singles and doubles competition against the Crusaders. Allie Seranko (No. 1 singles), Caitlin Gordon (No. 2), Lucy Bass (No. 5) and Liza Blank (6) each won their singles matches, then teamed up for convincing doubles wins.

Now 1-1 in Patriot League play, the Leopards will take a break from league action for a Wednesday meeting at Rider.
