Women's Tennis Bested at NJIT, 6-1

NEWARK, N.J. - The Lafayette women's tennis team got a three-set victory from Katherine Charchalis at No. 6 singles, but the Leopards were bested by host NJIT on Sunday, 6-1. Lafayette falls to 2-2 in dual matches with the loss. NJIT, the defending Great West Conference champion, moves to 9-2 with a perfect 7-0 record at home. Charchalis' win came in three sets, 6-4, 0-6, 10-8. The Highlanders' roster boasts 2011 Great West Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Year Ksenia Kuzmenko, one of three All-Conference performers on the current NJIT club.
