Lafayette Adds Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach

Sept. 24, 2002

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette swimming and diving coach Jim Dailey announced today the hiring of Frank Donnelly as the program's new assistant swimming and diving coach.

Donnelly comes to Lafayette after spending 10 years at archrival Lehigh University as its head diving coach. While at Lehigh, he was voted Patriot League Diving Coach of the Year in 1997.

"I am excited to have Frank join our staff," Dailey said. "He brings 10 years of college coaching experience with him. Frank understands the Patriot League philosophy and his student-athletes have achieved their potential academically and athletically. Having both him and Bill Lawson on staff will provide outstanding opportunities for our student-athletes to excel."

Along with his experience at Lehigh, Donnelly has worked as the head coach at the Lehigh Valley Diving Club since 1991. Donnelly also worked as the head diving coach at Easton High School from 1987-1991.

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams open the 2002-03 season on Oct. 18 at the American Relays.
