EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Aaron Mahaney has been named the newest assistant coach of the Lafayette swimming and diving teams. Mahaney joins head coach Jim Dailey and assistant coaches Frank Donnelly and Bill Lawson in leading the Leopards.

Mahaney participated in the 2000 Swimming Olympic Trials and was a two-time United States Swimming Scholastic All-American Award winner.
"We are excited to have Aaron join our staff here at Lafayette," Dailey said. "Having known him as an athlete, I know his experience will definitely help us with recruiting prospective athletes and training the student-athletes who are at our school."
After graduating from Michigan State, Mahaney remained with the Spartans as a volunteer assistant swimming coach from August thru December 2002. Prior to that, he served as an assistant swim coach and swim lesson instructor at the Atlantis Aquatic Club in the Lehigh Valley.
