Lafayette suffers its first loss of the season to the undefeated Tigers.

TOWSON, Md. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette women's swimming and diving team suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday at Towson, 156.5-86.5. The Leopards started their season on a 2-0 streak before traveling to the Tigers' Burdick Pool.
Freshman Alana Abilgaard (North Haven, Conn./North Haven) continued her tear through the opposition, however, winning the one- and three-meter diving events for Lafayette. Nancy Haystrand (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) made splashes of her own, winning the 200-meter fly with a time of 2:10.62. Also making strong finishes were the 200-meter medley and 400-meter free relays, which placed second for the Leopards.
The Tigers continue their dominance over the opposition this season, improving their undefeated streak to 5-0.
The Leopards begin their Patriot League slate by hosting Lehigh on Friday at 7 p.m.
