Jenny Moerschbacher Sparks Lafayette Swimming to Victory Over Drexel

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Jenny Moerschbacher swam to two first-place finishes to lead the Lafayette women's swimming team to a 138-98 victory at Drexel on Saturday afternoon. Moerschbacher took home firsts in the 200 and 500 free events.

Senior Brenda Thayer added wins for the Leopards in the 200 IM and 200 back, while Nancy Haystrand added a top finish in the 200 fly. Also snagging a first-place victory was Lindsay McCarthy in the 1000 free with a six-second cushion.

Freshmen Lori Anderson captured the 100 free and Jen Totten won the 200 breaststroke.

Lafayette (2-2) returns to action on Nov. 22 when Patriot League rival Lehigh visits Ruef Natatorium.
