Lafayette Women's Swimming Opens with Fourth-Place Finish at Potomac Relays

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette women's swimming and diving team swam its way to a fourth-place finish at the Potomac Relays at American University on Friday. The leopards finished with 81 points. George Washington won the event with 158 points.

The Leopards made their best showing in the 300 breast relay with a second-place spot. In the 300 fly relay, Lafayette placed a team fourth and sixth in the event.

Lafayette also took home fourth-place finishes in the 500 free and 400 medley relays.

The Leopards return to action Saturday at Navy, where they will also compete against Rider at 1 p.m.

Lafayette Athletics, as a partner in the mission of the College, provides an incredibly effective learning experience for student-athletes through competitive NCAA Division I athletics. Lafayette sponsors 23 varsity sports with more than 600 student-athletes.
