Lafayette Swimming Teams Battle in ECAC Championships

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's and women's swimming teams competed at day one of the ECAC Championships at the University of Pittsburgh, with three Leopards capturing top ten finishes.

Justin Gaudreau finished fifth in the 3-meter diving, while Jakub Pritz placed sixth in the 50 free and Chris Grabowski swam to a 12th-place finish in the 200 IM.

On the women's side, Crissy MacDonald finished 15th in the 3-meter diving competition, helping the Lafayette women get on the scoreboard.

Two of the Lafayette men's relays also placed in the top ten. The 200 free relay of Pritz, Grabowski, Greg Van Volkenburg and John Veltri came in seventh. Pritz, Van Volkenburg, Grabowski and Lucas Kimmel then turned in an eighth place performance in the 400 medley relay.

The Leopard women finished the team competition tied for 28th out of 48 teams.
