Lafayette Swimming Finishes Day Three of Patriot League Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette swimming teams wrapped up their three days of competition at Patriot League Championships on Saturday. The men finished sixth in the team standings, while the women placed eighth. Host Bucknell captured both the men's and women's crowns.
Chris Grabowski turned in another solid performance, capturing second place in the 200 back and setting his fourth school record of the season with a time of 1:47.91. Teammates Kris Klein and Greg Van Volkenburg finished eighth and ninth, respectively.
Jen Totten earned the best finish of the day for the Leopard women with a sixth-place finish in the 200 breast with a time of 2:27.13, which also broke the school record. Crissy MacDonald placed eighth in the 3-meter diving, while Nancy Haystrand earned a 12th in the 200 fly and Veronica LaMura swam to a 16th-place finish in the 1650 free.
In the men's competition, Justin Gaudreau finished fourth in the 1-meter diving and Steven Berkowitz placed fourth in the 200 fly. Jakub Pritz came in sixth in the 100 free and Colin Sinatro was 13th in the 200 fly.
The men's 400 free relay team of Van Volkenburg, Pritz, Grabowski and Stephen Connlain came in fourth.
