EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette women's swimming and diving team fell to visiting Delaware 150-90 on Saturday in Ruef Natatorium.

The Blue Hens' Sandy Stephens paced Delaware with two first-place finishes in the 200 IM (2:14.19) and the 200-yd fly (2:11.23).

Junior co-captain Brenda Thayer (Wilmington, Del./Archmere Academy) led the Leopards with a first-place finish in the 200-yd breast (2:34.16) and a second-place finish in the 200-yd IM (2:15.45).

Other top finishes included Erin Rosensteel (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) who took second in the 200-yd free (2:00.91), Katie Duffy (Rumson, N.J./Rumson Fair Haven) with a second-place finish in the 50-yd free (25.68) and co-captain Nancy Haystrand (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) with a second-place spot in the 200-yd fly (2:12.95). Sophomore diver Alana Anzalone (Shavertown, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) also home two second-place finishes in the one- and three-meter events with scores of 228.875 and 221.175.

Lafayette (4-3) return to action on Jan. 26 when it hosts Binghamton at 1 p.m.
