Ozanne Named to Lafayette Softball Coaching Staff
EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette softball head coach Caitlyn de la Haba has named Corinne Ozanne as an assistant coach. Ozanne, who is a native of Center Valley, Pa. and attended Southern Lehigh High School, was an All-Big East selection at Syracuse University.
“Corinne brings a high level of energy and passion for softball to this program, and I am lucky to have found someone with the ability to break down fundamentals and teach in creative and innovative ways,” de la Haba said. “I have no doubt that she will have an immediate impact on this program because of the high level of play she experienced in both the Big East and ACC. With a connection to the Lehigh Valley, she will have an opportunity to help us recruit the best and brightest from her own backyard. I can’t wait to see what this year brings for this team and coaching staff!”
Ozanne left Syracuse as its career leader for home runs, total bases and double plays while holding records in 15 additional offensive categories. During her career which spanned the 2013-16 seasons, the infielder hit for a .312 average with 50 home runs and 138 RBI. She earned All-Big East Third-Team honors as a freshman in 2013 and served as a team captain for three seasons. She followed with All-ACC Second Team honors in her junior campaign of 2015.
