EASTON, Pa. - Rookie Stacey Kushner (Norristown, Pa./Methacton) hit for a .538 average in a 7-1 week for Lafayette softball. She was 8-for-12 in the series sweep against Colgate with three RBI and six runs scored. In Lafayette's 5-4 extra-inning victory on Saturday, Kushner was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate.

While Lafayette is in the midst of a five-game winning streak and has won 11 of its last 12 games, Kushner is in an 11-game hitting streak. The Norristown, Pa. native has had seven multiple-hit games in that span, including three against Colgate.

Kushner is seventh on the all-time single-season record list with 28 runs scored and is second on the team in that category. The starting catcher in 37 of 38 games this year she is second on the team in overall batting average (.339) and has a team-high .400 batting average against conference opponents this season.

The Leopards (22-16, 12-4) clinched a Patriot League Tournament berth and set a new program record for most wins in a season. Lafayette plays Wagner in the Leopards' final regular-season home doubleheader. The first game is set to being at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
