Weekend Preview
Lafayette makes the trip to Dover, Del. this weekend to play in the Sean Savage Epilepsy Awareness Tournament. The Leopards enter the weekend 3-8, and will take on Brown twice, Princeton twice and Delaware State over the weekend.

Brown Preview
The Bears come into the weekend 3-6 overall, including a win at the Towson Invitational over the Leopards, 3-1, on March 9. Brown is led offensively by Trista Chavez’s five runs batted in. Stephanie Thompson leads the Bears in batting average (.429) and hits (9). Thompson and Chavez have each hit a home run and a double.

Princeton Preview
The Tigers travel to Dover with a 10-8 record, with victories over St. Bonaventure, Delaware State, Coppin State, Hampton, Mount St. Mary’s and UMBC. Princeton is led by Candy Button’s 17 runs batted in, three homers and seven doubles. Alex Payton has knocked in 12 runs and hit three home runs. Emily Viggers is second on the team with 13 runs batted in.

Delaware State Preview
The Hornets enter the weekend holding a 4-14 record, with wins over St. Bonaventure, Harvard and North Carolina Central. Jessica Madrid is leading Delaware State with 22 hits and a .386 batting average. Jordan Stamps leads the Hornets in runs batted in (11) and triples (2). 

All-Time Series
The Leopards are 0-1 against Brown, with the Bears taking the only meeting earlier this season. Lafayette is 2-8 against Princeton, and 1-3 versus Delaware State.

Probable Starters
The Leopards’ junior Melissa Robinson (2-6), an All-Patriot League Second Team selection last season, will pitch this weekend for the Leopards. The Philadelphia native has a 6.79 ERA with 16 strikeouts. A pair of freshmen, Kaitlin Perrine and Bryn Gornick, may also see action over the weekend.

Sarah Ropiak (2-3) will see action this weekend for Brown. The freshman leads the Bears with a 3.50 ERA and 13 strikeouts. Jessica Cherness (1-3) will also throw this weekend; the sophomore has 10 strikeouts and a 9.19 ERA.

Princeton will look to three pitchers, led by Shanna Christian (4-2) who boasts a 2.13 ERA in eight appearances. Alex Peyton (2-3) carries a 2.49 ERA with 30 strikeouts in seven appearances, while Liza Kuhn is 3-1, and has a team-high 36 strikeouts and a 2.94 ERA.

Jennifer Fischbach (3-5) leads the Delaware State staff with a 3.61 ERA, and will see action in relief this weekend. Rachel Meagley (1-4) has started 13 games for the Hornets and leads the team with 29 strikeouts and is second with a 4.13 ERA. Stephanie Sarris (0-5) carries a 4.59 ERA into the weekend with 17 strikeouts in 14 appearances.

Weather Forecast
The forecast for this weekend in Dover, Del. will be partly cloudy on Friday with a high of 47. Saturday will be sunny with a high of 48 degrees, and Sunday is cloudy with a high of 47 and a twenty percent chance of rain.

On Deck
The Leopards will return to action in Emmitsburg, Md. on March 26. Lafayette will take on Mount St. Mary’s in a doubleheader at 3 p.m.

Season Prediction
