LEWISBURG, Pa. - Lafayette was held to two hits in Patriot League softball action at Bucknell on Saturday, losing game one 4-0 and game 2-0.

Bucknell pitcher Amanda Fazio faced the minimum in the first game, taking her perfect game into the top of the seventh before Brittany Paul singled to left field to break up the no-hit bid. The Leopards (8-27, 2-8) could not take advantage of their only baserunner of the game, as Paul was cut down trying to stretch her hit into a double.

The Bison (11-24, 4-6) scored two in the first and two in sixth in the 6-0 final. Kristen Zahn (2-for-2) hit a two-run home run in the opening frame and drove in Bucknell's third run of the game with a sac fly in the sixth.

Bryn Gornick (2-9) gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits with two strikeouts and a pair of walks in the loss. Fazio (7-12) struck out nine of the 21 batters she faced.

It was more of the same in game two. There wasn't no-hitter drama for Bucknell starter Dana Nielsen, as she gave up a hit to Paul in the third, one of two Lafayette baserunners in the game.

Bucknell scored lone runs in the first and sixth as Lafayette starter Kaitlin Perrine held Bucknell to four hits. Cyndee Sanders singled in what held up as the game-winning run in the first, plating Cassie Greenhawk for the 1-0 lead.
