EASTON, Pa. - Sophomore Lauren Smedley went 1-0-1 during the week with two shutouts and picked up her second Patriot League honor, being named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Smedley picked up a 1-0 victory against Delaware State in which she stopped seven shots. On Saturday's Patriot League opener at Holy Cross, the sophomore made eight saves to end the game in a scoreless tie.

The Leopard goalkeeper picked up her fifth and sixth shutout of the year, which gives her the most in a season for Lafayette. She also has 10 career shutouts to her name, which is the all-time best for the Leopards.

Lafayette takes the week off to get ready for Patriot League opponent Bucknell on Saturday at Oaks Stadium. Fans unable to make it out to the Metzgar Athletic Fields Complex on Friday evening can watch the game on LSN All-Access. Air-time is set for 6:55 p.m.
