- Lafayette returns to Oaks Stadium this evening after splitting a pair of games on the road this past weekend. The Leopards currently sit at 2-2 on the season with victories coming in overtime against NJIT and on the road at Delaware State.
- It took all of less than 10 minutes for Lafayette to put three goals on the board in the win at Delaware State. Senior co-captains Gabrielle Lassinger and Rebekka Arnthorsdottir tallied their first career goals, while junior Katie Brannigan added the third as the Leopards cruised to the 3-1 victory.
- The Maroon and White feature a new-look squad this fall, losing seven starters to graduation. Just one of the team’s top-five scorers from a year ago returns, but four of the five in the defensive unit are back, including senior goalkeeper Kelly O’Brien, who handled the second-half duties in 2016 and looks to be doing the same so far this year. O’Brien was excellent in her role a year ago, boasting a 0.91 goals-against average in 793:40 of action.
- Lafayette heads back to the road for its next contest, traveling to Providence, R.I. for a meeting with Brown on Sunday at 1 p.m.
