Women's Soccer Partners With Halo Hats

Go Leopards!

May 6, 2014

EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette women’s soccer program has teamed up with Halo Hats, an organization that delivers hats to children battling cancer.

Halo Hats was founded by Carlos Raymond, who battled cancer as a child. Carlos started this organization because he was too embarrassed to go out in public without a hat and having a hat on made him feel more like everyone else. His goal was to help children going through the same struggle he faced.

The mantra of Halo Hats is "Spreading Smiles Two Hats at a Time". For every hat that the Lafayette women's soccer program sells, one hat will be delivered to a child in the hospital currently battling cancer.

Each hat is $25 and can be purchased online here or by contacting Laura Zito via e-mail at zitol@lafayette.edu.

Lafayette Athletics, as a partner in the mission of the College, provides an incredibly effective learning experience for student-athletes through competitive NCAA Division I athletics. Lafayette sponsors 23 varsity sports with more than 600 student-athletes.
