Iacuzzi, Raiders Roll Past Women's Soccer for 6-1 Win

HAMILTON, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - Franny Iacuzzi had a hat trick in the first 11:06 of the match to lead defending Patriot League champion Colgate to a 6-1 win in women's soccer on Sunday afternoon.
Josie Johnson assisted on each of Iacuzzi's goals, which came at 5:24, 7:02 and 11:06 in the first half.
Colgate (8-4-1, 2-1 PL) responded with a goal by Jordyn Lexton just 35 seconds before the half. Carolyn Warhaftig assisted on the play.
Two second-half goals accounted for the final score.
Carly Sousa saw the bulk of the action in goal for Colgate as both teams used three different goalkeepers. Mary Kate Erdman got the start for the Leopards (1-8-3, 0-3 PL), while Sarah Amtower and Hannah Fink were both in net for more than 10 minutes of action.
Lafayette will host Holy Cross on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. in the first of a stretch of four home games before the Leopards close the season at Army.
