Dozier Scores Lafayette's Two Goals and Picks Up the Win

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Sophomore Jill Dozier had a pair of goals for the Leopards as the Lafayette women's soccer team defeated Bryant 2-0 on Friday afternoon. The Leopards improve their record to 3-2 as the Bulldogs dipped to 2-3.
The Leopards out-shot the Bulldogs 12-5, while Bryant had four saves to sophomore goalie Lauren Smedley's two.
In the 33rd minute of the game, Dozier found the back of the net to pick up her third goal of the season and take a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, senior Katie Roberts intercepted a pass in front of the Bryant goal and found Dozier who shot the ball high enough for her second goal of the game.
Lafayette stays in New England to take on Northeastern on Sunday afternoon in Boston, Mass. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
