Rath Joins Patriot League Office
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Former women’s lacrosse standout Charlotte Rath ’17 has joined the Patriot League office as an intern for the 2017-18 academic year, beginning her work earlier this week.
“I am thrilled to still be involved in the athletic world and in the Patriot League,” Rath said. “Kaity McKittrick suggested the position as she had a spent a few years at the League office and knew it would expose me to a variety of opportunities. She was right and I could not be happier.”
Rath, graduating with a degree in International Affairs this past spring, played in all 69 games for the Maroon and White over the course of her four years on College Hill. She was a two-time team captain and an All-Patriot League Second-Team selection in 2015.
The Greenville, Del. native holds two top-10 spots in the Patriot League record books as well. She sits ninth in League history in caused turnovers with 70 and was 10th in the conference in groundballs per game in 2017 with 2.29 per contest.
“I am truly grateful for the education and opportunities Lafayette provided for me,” Rath added. “As student-athletes, we spend a tremendous amount of time in our chosen sport and in the classroom. Lafayette recognizes these commitments and time constraints, and works with student-athletes to present us with opportunities off the field and outside our studies. I truly believe that Lafayette groomed me to become a tomorrow leader. Once a Leopard, always a Leopard. Go ‘Pards!”
While with the League office, Rath will cover a number of sports information duties, including serving as the primary contact for women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, and women’s rowing.
