EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette women's lacrosse team had 12 players named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2005 semester, the league has announced.

Ashley Dvorak (Valley Forge, Pa./Phoenixville), a May 2005 graduate of Lafayette with a degree in Economics and Business, led the Leopards' honorees with a 3.90 GPA last spring. A midfielder, Dvorak was a second-team All-Patriot League selection last season. She led the team with 20 forced turnovers and scored a goal in each of the final three games.

Two other graduated seniors, Lauren Durell (Yardley, Pa./Hun School) and Natalie Kuhnert (North Wales, Pa./Wissahickon), were also mentioned on the list. Durell started all 13 matches at defense and posted a 3.40 GPA in Economics and Business. Kuhnert started 12 games in the midfield and compiled four goals and five assists. She had a 3.60 GPA with a double major in Economics and Business, and Art.

There were 63 women's lacrosse student-athletes from seven institutions honored from across the league. Bucknell led the way with 18 players, and Lafayette joined the Bison as the only other school in double figures. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.20 grade-point average and be awarded a varsity letter.
