EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette women's lacrosse freshman midfielder Ana White has added two more post-season honors to her standout rookie season. The freshman was named a second team All-American in the Mid-Atlantic region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and was also named to the Synapse Sports Division I All-Rookie Squad.

White, the 2011 Patriot League Rookie of the Year and All-Patriot League Second Team selection, was one of 136 players to be honored with a IWLCA All-Region selection and was the only Patriot League player to be named a Synapse Sports All-Rookie selection.

"We are very excited that Ana has been recognized by the all-region committee for her efforts this past season. She committed an incredible amount of time to bettering herself and her teammates this spring and she played a very significant role on our team in her first year at the collegiate level," said Lafayette head coach Alison Fisher. "We are proud of Ana for this much deserved honor. She has represented the College, the athletic department and the lacrosse program well."

A Biology major, White led the team with 44 points last season and was second on the team with 29 goals to go along with 15 assists. The two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week winner also led the Leopards with 45 ground balls and 35 caused turnovers.
