Ana White named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

EASTON, Pa. - Freshman midfielder Ana White picked up her second Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor on Monday afternoon. White's first award came on Feb. 28 and most recently was named Midfielder of the Week on April 4.
White is coming off a seven-goal week in which the Leopards spilt, winning in Philadelphia against Villanova and dropping a home game against Holy Cross.
On Monday, she also moved into the top position in draw controls in the NCAA, averaging 5.56 per outing.
Against Villanova, White netted four goals and had two assists for a six-point game against the Big East foe. She won seven of Lafayette's 15 draws and picked up two ground balls.
Three days later against Holy Cross, the freshman won seven draws to bring her season total to 90 draw controls. She also added two goals and three ground balls in the final game of the season.
White finished her freshman campaign leading the team in points (44), draws (89), ground balls (45) and caused turnovers (35). She has netted 29 goals and had 15 assists for a 44-point season.
