EASTON, Pa. - Freshman Addie Godfrey (Princeton, N.J./The Hun School) is on a roll, as on Monday she earned her second straight Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor following a week in which she tallied eight goals in two games.
Godfrey was an offensive force last week with a career and team-high six-goal performance in the Leopards' 15-14 overtime loss at Sacred Heart on Wednesday. She accounted for four goals in the second half against the Pioneers, including Lafayette's final two goals in a span of 20 seconds.
She followed that with two more goals in a loss at Holy Cross on Saturday. Her two goals comprised half of the Leopards' scoring output that afternoon.
The International Affairs major earned the same honor last week after combining for seven goals and two assists in two games.
This season, Godfrey has started all 16 games and leads the team with 38 points. Along with her six assists, she has a team-high 44 points, 19 more than the next closest player, 79 shots and 11 free position goals. She also has 20 ground balls, 18 draw controls and eight caused turnovers to her credit.
The Leopards (3-13, 1-5) wrap-up their season on Saturday with a 1 p.m. game at Longwood.
