Leopards Host Rival Lehigh

The Lafayette women's lacrosse team returns to College Hill on Friday evening when it hosts archrival Lehigh at 7 p.m. The Leopards enter the game at 6-6 overall and 0-2 in the Patriot League. The game will be available live for fans on GoLeopards.com
Scouting the Mountain Hawks
Lehigh was picked to finish fourth in the Patriot League Preseason Poll and is currently 3-6 overall and 1-2 in league play. Sophomore attack Carli Sukonik and senior midfielder Julie McBrien lead the Mountain Hawks attack with 20 goals apiece. Freshman attack Meghan Paytas has a team-high six assists. Sophomore defender Kelly Scott leads the Lehigh defense with 11 caused turnovers and 16 ground balls. Junior goalkeeper Alex Fitzpatrick has started all nine games for the Mountain Hawks, posting a 3-6 record with an 11.76 goals against average and 76 saves.
At the Helm
The Leopards are coached by Alison Fisher, who is in her fifth season at Lafayette, holding an overall record of 23-56. Lehigh is coached by Jill Redfern in her fourth season. Redfern holds a 56-36 career record.
The Leopards are 20-21 all-time against the Mountain Hawks, with Lehigh winning last year's contest, 13-10.
Leopards on the Attack
The Lafayette attack is led by senior Addie Godfrey who, as of the last NCAA Statistics Report on March 24, sits third in the nation in goals (39) and goals per game (3.25). Junior midfielder Ana White has a team-high 16 assists and 48 points, sitting second on the team in scoring with 32 goals. Junior Laura Kleiber has 24 goals and four assists, while senior Jessica Rothstein has tallied 19 goals and 25 points. Freshman Carlianne McCabe (13) and senior Cammie Linville (11) have each netted double-digit goals this season.
White and senior defender Caitlin Mitchell are leading the team in ground balls with 31 and 21, respectively. White leads the team in caused turnovers with 22, followed by Linville with 11. Ana White holds the Patriot League career draw control record with 273 in just three years on College Hill.
Between the Pipes
Junior Meghan Curtin has played every game this season for the Leopards, making nine starts. The Lafayette Hill, Pa. native has a 12.25 goals against average, while making 44 saves on her way to a 3-3 record. Sophomore Mimi Connell has made four starts and appeared in nine games, making her first start of the season against Temple. Connell holds a 13.77 goals against average, making 33 saves with a 3-3 record.
Around the Patriot League
On Wednesday night, American upset No.12/16 Johns Hopkins in double overtime, 10-9. No. 14/18 Navy took care of UC Davis, 19-11. On Saturday March 30, Colgate will visit Holy Cross and American will host Bucknell in Patriot League contests. Lehigh will entertain Yale on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
Lafayette will wait more than a week before its next contest, when the Leopards visit Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa. on Saturday, April 6.
