EASTON, Pa. - Junior midfielder Ana White of the Lafayette women's lacrosse team picked up her second Patriot League Midfielder of the Week award this season, the League announced Monday.
White posted four goals, eight assists, six ground balls and 13 draw controls in a split week for the Leopards. Lafayette recorded a 16-6 win over Wagner on Wednesday in which White tallied three goals and six assists to go along with five ground balls and seven draw controls.
On Saturday, the Leopards fell to Delaware, 19-7, and White chipped in with a goal, two assists, a ground ball and six draw controls.
The Patriot League career record holder in draw controls, White leads the League and ranks among the top players nationally with 55 so far this season. This award is the ninth weekly honor of her career, five more than any other player in the three-year history of the honor.
Additionally, senior attack Addie Godfrey notched an honorable mention from the League this week as she tallied seven goals in the two games this past week. Against Wagner, she netted five scores in the 16-6 victory.
"I'm excited for Addie and Ana that they have been recognized again this week by the conference," head coach Alison Fisher said. "Both have been putting up incredible numbers this season and each of them work exceptionally hard to not only play their roles well, but to facilitate success for their teammates. They are an exciting duo to work with and both are incredibly deserving of their weekly honors."
Lafayette is back in action on Tuesday evening as it takes on LaSalle at 7 p.m. at Rappolt Field.
