Martin, White Named to Preseason All-Patriot League Team

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette women’s lacrosse seniors, Rachel Martin and Ana White were named to the All-Patriot League team, the league announced on Thursday. Martin and White were among 12 players selected.

White was selected as the Patriot League Midfielder of the Year last spring after leading the Leopards in points (68), assists (22), ground balls (47) and draw controls (95). The senior was also a key part of the defense, causing a team-high 34 turnovers.

Martin started all 18 games in the defense for the Leopards. She was second to White in both ground balls (30) and caused turnovers (15). The New Jersey native was an All-Patriot League Second-Team selection last spring.

The Leopards were tabbed to finish sixth in the Patriot League this season. Lafayette finished 9-9 overall last season and earned a berth in the Patriot League Tournament. The Maroon and White open the season on Feb. 15 at Marist.
