Alison Fisher enters her sixth season as head coach of the Lafayette women's lacrosse program after leading the Leopards to the Patriot League Tournament for the first time since 2004 in 2012. Fisher had an All-Patriot League career in field hockey and lacrosse as a player with the Leopards, from 1997-2001.
Fisher, the eighth head coach in the history of the program, brought seven years of coaching experience to Easton before her arrival in 2009. Fisher spent 2008 as an assistant coach at La Salle University where she assisted in coaching, player development and game preparation.
Prior to her stint at La Salle, Fisher spent four years as an assistant coach at Princeton. The Tigers qualified for the NCAA Tournament each season, reaching the championship game in 2004 and quarterfinals in 2005 and 2006. The team boasted eight All-Americans, three Ivy League Rookie of the Year selections and three Ivy League Player of the Year honorees during that time. Fisher aided in all aspects of recruiting and acted as the assistant director for Princeton lacrosse camps.
The Horsham, Pa. native was a four-year defender for the Leopards. She served as captain her senior year when she helped lead the team to its second consecutive Patriot League title. Fisher excelled in the classroom as well, where she was a three-time Academic All-American and received Patriot League Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in 2001. She also earned Scholar-Athlete of the Year accolades in field hockey in 2000 and lacrosse in 2001. She was a starter for the '99 squad that advanced to the NCAA Tournament, becoming the first Patriot League field hockey team to accomplish the feat. Fisher graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Biology.
Following graduation, Fisher worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Delaware for the 2001-2002 academic year while pursuing a master's degree in Health Services Administration. She returned to College Hill in August 2002 and spent a year as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator under head coach Rebecca Joseph.
Fisher is married to Michael Gualtieri '01, who was captain of the men's soccer team during his time on College Hill.
