EASTON, Pa. - Junior midfielder Maggie Condon and freshman defender Meghan Cicchi received national recognition for their efforts on the Lafayette field hockey team this season. Both were named to the 2007 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-Mideast Team, both for the first time in their careers. Condon received first-team honors and Cicchi was named to the second-team.

Condon was the Leopards' points leader with 26 in this fall. The Lake Bluff, Ill. native started in all 20 games, scoring 10 goals and adding six assists. She received All-Patriot League First-Team laurels for the second time in her career and was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week (10/8). The Economics & Business major earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team following Lafayette's trip to the Patriot League championship game.

The Patriot League Rookie of the Year honoree, Cicchi was one of only two freshmen named to either the first or second team. Cicchi received Patriot League weekly honors twice in her first season at Lafayette. The Thousand Oaks, Calif. native was named the Rookie of the Week (9/10) and Defensive Player of the Week (10/22).

The Leopards were one of three Patriot League institutions represented on either the first or second All-Mideast region team. Bucknell, Colgate and Lafayette all had two players named while Lehigh had just one. Lafayette (9-10, 2-3) fell to No. 17 American in the Patriot League Tournament final, 3-1, on Nov. 3.
