EASTON, Pa.- Juniors Brittany Blass and Jenna Seybert were named to the All-Patriot League First Team, the League announced Tuesday morning. Blass led the Leopards with five goals and 13 points, while Seybert scored four goals and finished the regular season with nine points.

“Brittany, Jenna, Kelsey, and Haley are all extremely deserving of these All-Patriot League awards.” head coach Jennifer Stone said. “Brittany and Jenna have been the anchors for the team defensively throughout the entire season, facing some challenging offenses. Kelsey and Haley have been a threatening duo in the attacking end. Their hard work in the off-season has been a direct reflection of the success they have had this fall. These four have been consistent performers for the team, and are more than deserving of these All-League awards. Their character on and off the field makes them excellent examples of successful student-athletes here at Lafayette.”

For Blass this is her third consecutive All-Patriot League First Team selection, while Seybert picks up her second All-League honor after being named to the second team last season.

Junior Kelsey Mead and senior co-captain Haley Keenan were each tabbed to the All-Patriot League Second Team, marking their first appearances on the All-League squad. Mead tied for the team lead with 13 points, tallying four goals and five assists, while Keenan finished the season with 11 points, scoring four goals, including two game winners, and adding three helpers for Lafayette.

The Leopards travel to our nation’s capital on Friday morning to face off against top-seeded American in the Patriot League Semifinals, starting at 11 a.m. The Patriot League Championship is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
