Patriot League Championship Tournament Game Times Moved
Hurricane Sandy pushes back field hockey tournament games
Oct. 31, 2012
EASTON, Pa. – The start times for each of the three games that make up the 2012 Patriot League Field Hockey Championship Tournament have been moved because of changes in lodging that had to be made for each of the teams due to extreme power outages in the Lehigh Valley region caused by Hurricane Sandy.
Friday's opening semifinal will now be played at noon between top-seeded Lafayette and fourth-seeded Colgate. The second semifinal is scheduled tentatively for 3:30 p.m., but will begin 45 minutes after the end of the first contest. The second semifinal will feature second-seeded American and third-seeded Bucknell.
The winners of each of the two semifinals will compete in the championship game on Saturday, now being held at 3 p.m.
New details will be posted to GoLeopards.com if any further changes are made.
